Soon after 9-11-01 she found herself being deployed to Iraq. She did three tours of duty and found herself struggling as her mind constantly replayed some of the devistations of war. Joanne began to drink alcohol, something she hadn’t done much prior. Joanne found her mind would rest as she had her second/third/fourth shot. She began drinking during the day and her depression grew deeper as she isolated from her family and friends.
After being confronted by family and friends, Joanne realized she needed help. She joined the program at Recovery Zone Solutions as it specialized in a fully virtual Cognitive Behavioral online program, one of the leading therapies for PTSD and depression. Joanne began to visualize a safe future.
